I got some (much needed) tough love from a guy on reddit last week concerning the my particular comic style.

In short, he said that just because I have a funny idea or punch line, I can’t expect the average viewer to stick around long enough to get to it when I don’t put a decent amount of work into the actual art of the comic itself.

It’s no secret that the art of my comics had gotten a little lazy. In truth, I enjoy the brainstorming and writing aspect of comics a fair bit more than the drawing part. To me, up until this point at least, the art had just been a vehicle to convey what I thought were funny jokes and ideas.

Basically, I’ve always wanted to be a sketch comedy writer.. I haven’t always wanted to be a set designer.

But like I said, it was tough love.. that I’m now trying my hardest to take to heart.

So from here on out, I’m going to try to put a lot more work into the comics that I post on here (especially since I’m only putting out one per week).

Hopefully it will both draw in new viewers and keep those of you who have been here since day one consistently entertained.
